Hollow Square Mortice Chisel and Bits
No. 0150 Chisels and Bits, where necessary with Bit shank length
reduced, can be used in most British-made morticing machines, including.
BROOKMAN, CHARNWOOD, COOKSLEY, DOMINION, PICKLES, SEDGWICK, SMITH,
WADKIN, WHITE, WHITEHEAD, WILSON, WOODWISE.
Shanks of No. 0150 Bits are made 4” long. This is long enough
for any make of machine. Where shorter length of shank is required,
the user can cut it to the required length.
No. 0170 Chisel and Bits are for use in Multico Machines. The Chisels
have a 4” long blade, with a shank of 13/16” diameter.
The Bits are 8 1/8”overall length with a 6” long twist.
Multico Brand and no. 0170 are not interchangeable.

This type of bit is extensively used in the Chair-making industry
and is unequalled for cutting slots and mortices accurately to size.
Will cut either right or left hand.
Best results are obtained at a spindle speed of about 6,000 r.p.m.

Mortice miller bits are made from a specially selected grade of
H.S.S. steel which combines toughness with the retention of a keen
cutting edge.
For fast working this bit is without equal. The serrated edge “roughs”
the mortice and the smooth edge cleans and finishes it, leaving
a smooth slot.
Best results are obtained at a spindle speed of about 6,000 r.p.m.
